Christiane H. McKinley is Of Counsel to the Firm. Ms. McKinley has 16 years of experience as a business transactional attorney, and she focuses her practice on commercial real estate, credit and asset-based finance transactions, commercial and residential real estate acquisitions, divestitures and related transactions, corporate law, and commercial business transactions.

As former in-house counsel to two financial institutions, Ms. McKinley has substantial experience in managing the legal aspects of commercial finance transactions, including commercial real estate mortgage loans, commercial asset-based finance transactions, commercial working capital lines of credit and other business financing transactions, commercial loan workout structures, distribution finance programs and vendor finance programs, residential mortgage loans, equipment leasing, operational risk management and insurance (placement, day-to-day management, claims experience, and commercial and residential loan related insurance) and corporate governance.

Over the course of her career, she has obtained significant commercial real estate experience, including representing owners, developers, investors, lenders, landlords and tenants in a wide range of acquisition and divestiture transactions, commercial leasing, development and construction agreements, operation and management agreements, title, survey, easements, zoning, and environmental.

Ms. McKinley earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from University of Detroit (cum laude, 1993) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (cum laude, 1999). She is also a licensed Professional Investigator.

Ms. McKinley is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and she is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
