J. Lee McKinley II is Of Counsel to the Firm. Mr. McKinley has 16 years of experience as a business transactional attorney, and he focuses his practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions, estate planning, probate and trust law, corporate law, asset-based finance and commercial business transactions.

As former in-house counsel to a financial institution, Mr. McKinley has substantial experience in all aspects of commercial financing, including commercial real estate mortgage loans, commercial working capital lines of credit and other business financing transactions.

Over the course of his career, he derived significant commercial real estate experience, including representing owners, developers, investors, landlords and tenants in a wide range of purchase and sale transactions, development and construction agreements, easements and commercial leasing.

Mr. McKinley earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University (suma cum laude, 1995) and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (1999). He is also a licensed Professional Investigator.

Mr. McKinley is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
